I have yet to see a good lease purchase program offered by a carrier. We have discussed this considerably. You may want to do a search. If you want to become an owner operator, save your money to either pay cash or have a good down payment. You will be much better off.

How much does JCT pay per mile? What is their fuel charge?

no_worries 11-27-2006 02:23 PM

I know their brokered loads pay squat!

I think they have a street named after them.....One Way.
I do not know this to be true, but no one else seemed to like them, so I thought I would give them a kick (in my shiny boots) as well!

It seems to me you would be a servant, and have shackles on you.

jct

Well it seems that of the 4 guys that I have talked to who drive for them they all say thaey are very happy and get plenty of miles, avg.3200 weekly and no competition from company drivers because they are all lease or owner ops pay is at 92cpm with 21cent fuel charge as of 2 weeks ago, they all seem to like the no ballon payment and the 1$ buy out at the end and getting that title, and it helps that all the equipment is all 06-07, but again i was looking for someone that is with them or was with them for the inside track, but thanks for all the info and feedback.

Tell you what. Get ALL the information from JCT, in writing, and then sit down with a pencil, paper, and calculator and do the math.

You will need to know:

Truck payment
Truck Maintence fund
All insurance costs, and do not forget workers comp.
All expenses you are responsible for such as plates, registration, tolls, scale tickets, quallcomm rental/purchase, permits, trailer rental, insurance dedutables including freight OS&D, annual highway use tax, etc.
Figure in your fuel costs. Suggest 6 mpg as a base figure.
Who pays fuel taxes. How are they figured.
IS the FSC paid loaded and empty or just loaded.

Also find out what happens if you have a major repair expense, if you can not meet your truck payment, if you decide to turn the truck in.

Then when it is all said and done figure your total gross income based on 2500 miles per week, less expenses and see how much you will make. Oh and do not forget to take out about 25% of the pay after expenses to pay your income taxes.

put your head close to the screen

I want to hit you with a frying pan

remember once you sign you can't quit

you must take every load they give you or they will cut your miles

they can make you do anything they want and you have to agree

FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are probably go pay 12-1500 a week in fuel on that 3200 miles

this is crappy pay for an old used truck thats paid for!

let alone a 2006-2007 no balloon 1 dollar payout

good luck
