Pictures and Diagrams of 1985 FLC 1206C

I have a 1985 Freightliner that I am going to start doing some restoring and work on, but have been having problems finding pictures or diagrams of my year model truck. Anyone have any advice on where to check for this???

I would think you could order it from Freightliner. You might also try eBay. If you are looking for information on the engine, transmission, etc., you may want to go to the specific manufacturer, such as Cummins or Fuller.

Thanks GMAN, I went to Freightliner this past Thursday, but they did not have any pictures or diagrams of the interior, or exterior. I couldn't get very much information on it from them.

I guess they figured since I was asking questions and not spending money, they had better things to do.

I asked them for a catalog to order parts from, and was told Freightliner didn't produce one for individuals, then asked if I could go on-line and check, and they told me no, the only way to get prices was to either call them or come by and check with them.

They were not rude, or short, just not very much help. I will try e-bay.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I know OT, but i have the same problem with the Freightliner closest to me. Everytime i get there, they seem not to have what i need (parts). Then i go home, call the Freightliner 20 miles away, and they have what i need. When i get there, they look in their :? system and tell me, that the other freightliner have the part as well. And ask me why the heck i would drive there in rain and rush hour traffic....

Some parts are proprietary, others can be interchangeable from one brand to another. If you have a problem with one dealer you may find what you need from another brand. Even though the dealer told you that nothing was available on line, he could be mistaken. I would try it anyway. One other thing. You may want to check with some salvage yards.
