what to do

Question !
I have been posting in here about looking for a change in my life for this
60 year old Man from Pa.
If I find I cant get hired for flatbed work are there any good van driving jobs out there that would give me a good living and have a spouse ride along program. I'm from Pa. Al
PS, are all your flatbed tarps heavy weight,I have been driving for 12 years with no benefits and no Ins for this one outfit. But now finding it hard to go to another job because of my age.

A lot of companies do want older guys and more experienced guys. They seem to be more stable and less likely to job hop. A lot of employers would be lucky to have an older hand on the job. This is true for a lot of local outfits. I guess it could be the opposite for big over the road companies. They are looking for kids who don't know any better, and can easily pull the wool over their heads. The money you said you were making in a different post sounds way to low. You can do a lot better then that. Busy time coming up for fuel oil in your area. Same where I am. You could try to find a job driving bulk oil until the spring, then look for some flatbed work when it gets busy. Well, good luck.

Too bad you weren't in our neck of Ontario. Drivers that don't wreck stuff are always in demand.

big $$$ job

I don't know about the wife as passenger but this is probably the easiest job you will ever have
Very little climbing
Drive cars in
push a button
cars go straight up
drive 4 more on
The customers love you
and treat you well
You ever sit in a Mercedes waiting room?
Food, coffee snacks
Great looking receptionists
Pennsylvania is a great location for this job
Cars come off dock at Jersey city
Head west
you go home
I only worked for them for a while and the do indeed have older drivers
Some I talked to were so happy because they had no retirement
I left because I wanted to be home more often
Now I was told the home time issue has been addressed
