I agree 100%. I'm going to look at a 2004 Stoughton tomorrow in Davenport, IA.

53X102, Air ride, Logistics posts, translucent roof, Hardwood scuff rail, SS front corners, SS rear doors, black front and sides. They are asking $14,500, but I'd like to see if I can get it for closer to $12K. The only thing it is missing is aluminum wheels.

You should just trade them even up. You know, for the cause.

Buy a dry van and throw a home air conditioner on the front of it. Should work just fine. 8)

Doesn't Landstar do some drop and hooks ? Or are there not very many drop and hooks and you can make more per mile with your own wagon ? 8) 8)

For some reason that reminded me of a driver I saw the other day. I was in the holding lot waiting to get a door assignment parked next to a New Century truck. The cover was off the APU and there was oil on the ground. It was almost 100 out and the truck wasn't Idling either with the windows up. I thought damn that guy can handle some heat. A while later I went up to the guard to get the key for the restroom and I noticed his trailer door partially open and still didn't think nothing of it. On the way back with the key the wind had blown the door open all the way and he was in the trailer sleeping with the reefer running. There's no way in hell I'd do that. All you need is some a-hole that thinks it's funny to close the door and then your totally screwed. Especially if you don't have your cell phone in your pocket. 8) 8)

Some agents do a lot of drop and hook, but it is pretty easy to avoid, depending upon the area of the country you run.
