So I pulled into a rest area in Michigan, it's one of those rest areas that you can go out of it then come back in(sort of like a cloverleaf). Shortly after I stop, I hear this LOUD clacking. I know exactly what rod knock sounds like, and that was it! I was too tired to do anything about it, and the bastard wouldn't turn off his truck. Shortly after, he does a couple laps around the rest area. At first I thought it was a different truck that pulled in beside me, but sure enough some time later that same clacking starts. Every minute that that thing was running was a time bomb!

He did eventually leave, at around 3:00 am.

bet that's going to be pricey to fix.

No kiddin, he probably called his boss. Boss said "run it till it needs rebuildin". Well, how do you rebuild it when a rod goes out the side and mr piston meets mr head.
