Insurance for a new driver

I'm in the process of getting my class A drivers license and buying my own truck, I'm having problems finding anyone to insure me. I will be hauling my own goods, but would like to be able to haul for others as well. Does anybody know of a insurance company that will work with me?

Progressive, but they will be nearly double the rate for an experienced driver/owner.

I checked with them, Progressive currently isn't writing new policy's.

whoa, that' news.....could have had a rash of claims, could be reconfiguring the market value on the premiums.

sorry to say, but good luck.

it may be "better", if you went to work for someone, for at the very least 1 to 2 years and get some experience. this way, you're not "green".

then shop around for a truck AND insurance, you know, build up some safe driving miles.
