Advice

I posted this on another board. I'd like to know what you guys think.

The last job I had was driving for a Town Car service. Lasted 5 months. The only driving job I ever had. One early morning (dark) turning a corner I ran over a small island/median that wasn't painted and the reflector was already knocked over. It caused some damage. The next day I was let go. Other than that my past is squeaky clean.

Will that prevent me from finding employment as a truck driver?

I'm 57 and been an equipment operator for 30 years. (been slow since the recession.)

I start cdl school Monday.

Thanks

I think the standard hiring requirements in this regard is; no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last year, and no major preventable in the last 3 years. (major = $10k or more in damage)

It's the part about being let go. I called a Prime recruiter and she said no way. But then again, it was Prime
