Is my new career already dead?
I am a new driver. I have 7 months experience; 3 months on my own. I've had 3 preventable incidents. NOT DOT reportable accidents. My company fired me because of the incidents. Every company is turning me down. Either for not enough experience, too many preventable accidents, because I got fired, or because of the one ticket-careless driving, I got. I am feeling hopeless. I love what I do. I want to get more experience. How do I do that when no one will hire me? Will someone experienced on here please be honest with me? Is my driving career dead?

Dead
Yup. Three preventables in three months is what did you in for now. Do something else until the dust settles then try again. BOL

even if someone wanted to hire you, the insurance company probably wouldnt let them

Same ole story, I'm not dogging ya eyesoblue, it's just so many new drivers out don't know the importance of a clean cdl. It's not just your license it's your paycheck!
Keep looking and good luck, But I really think it's a lost cause. |
I'm a great driver, 7 months experience and only 3 preventables.. kind of like saying, I've been a doctor for 7 months and only 3 patients have died

:) I'll jump in... (heh heh)
"...but sweetheart... I only cheated 3 times, and it really wasn't all my fault. you're dumping me? ... why?... just give me a chance." :) (hey... sometimes it works...bring flowers & candy) |

Unfortunately, all your marbles have rolled down the hill..
You might be able to do something local for the time being. Maybe drive a dump truck for Billy Bob's backhoe service or something. |
