18 years with CDL A, no OTR experience
 

How the hell do I get a job?

I don't know how you can have a CDL for 18 years and not have any experience. You might see if you can find a small carrier that will give you a try. You may need to go with one of the training carriers or take a refresher course to get your foot in the door. Most carriers expect to see some experience within the last 3 years. Have you driven an 18 wheeler other than to get your CDL?

He said no OTR experience, maybe he's been pulling an end dump for a construction company for 18 years, or something like that.

I guess that we will need to wait until he comes back and tells us.
