Age factor and gender issue

I am tired of all nighters with taxes and politics. Kids are grown and no responsibilities. I am ready to hit the road, but will the age factor of 54 and being a female be part of the equation? Honesty, please.

Many carriers prefer more mature drivers. And you can usually work as long as you keep your MVR clean and can pass the DOT physical.

If you are use to working all night, taxes, politics, and dealing with children, those skills will go a long way, in trucking. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...cheesygrin.gif

You'll get along fine here and in trucking! Now for the real question, how do you feel about Obama? LOL

Definitely not an issue! I'm a 53 year old female and just went back on the road last year. I run into women our age everyday out here. Go for it!
