As a beginner, apply to CR England. Just make damn sure you are honest with your application and have everything in order. They can be the biggest jerks around, and that's saying something for the trucking industry. Big deal Schneider does't like you, they are more discriminating in who they hire. All you want at this point is for somebody to give you a chance. With CR England the hardest part is going to be the first 3 days when you arrive at school-orientation. They have a bad habit of inviting anybody and only check them once they do arrive, which means they lose half the class the first 3 days and badly inconveniencing these poor people. The lease is horrible, if you can get by without signing one that would be the way, but there is a good chance they will throw you away much easier if you don't sign up for one. But reading your posts all you want is a chance to do some driving and get some experience. Use them, tough it out for 7- 8months with them. If you lease, get a few months old truck and this way you can get the 6 month demo lease. Before 5 months are done let them know in writing you will turn in the truck after 6 months. You should be good as long as you keep your nose clean, no accidents, tickets, or damage to truck.
Of course given your problems with shifting why don't you go back to school you paid for and pay for some more private lessons.
Just don't give up because people say you are not cut out for this. Just a slower learner, and believe me not the only one out there.
