I have certain "good spots" that if I scratch... my leg reflex will get one of my hind legs tapping... Now I'm scrubbing those puppies... and my hind leg is tapping wildly, with my knee banging the bottom of the dining table, rattling the silverware, and knocking over the glasses. I also got that grimace where your right eye shuts tight, and you grimace hard, exposing your teeth from your snout to your ear. My lower fang was pinching my upper lip and that caused a long drool trail.
LMAO...

My chocolate lab, Philos, used to do exactly this when I started scratching his um, er... chest! [yeah... that's the ticket.]

He's been gone many years now. Thanks for the memories Hog.

P.S: He used to kinda "moan" a little... like howling at the moon but much softer, like it was meant just for me. Did you moan a little for Shania?

I still remember that "grateful" look in his eyes! I would give almost anything to have him back.

But, I think he got a restraining order against me. Oh well...

Looks like you've got a choice...

Follow Doctor Hobo's advice...
Or, borrow Shania's harbrush....

Can you give me that "Doctorate" degree in writing, Windy? I'd really like to be able to sign off as "Golf Hobo M.D." LOL!

I'm afraid I'm not qualified to do that. I'm not the one that gave you your training...
But, I certainly have no argument with what you've said.

I questioned the "fungus" idea, because I know of a few other things that could do the same thing. I had not even thought of an allergic reaction to detergent, but one of my kids was reacting to the detergent my wife (ex-wife, that is) was using to wash the diapers. So, in sensitive areas, it's a very real possibility. Ordinarily, it might not bother, but sitting in the seat of a truck for hours at a time is a bit different. For that matter, my wife had to be careful what detergent she used while she was driving with me.

I remember my Grandma always asking me, if I was allergic to soap.
..but then I was always called dirty, even after I took a bath.

Are we seriously discussing the state of some dude’s ball-sack here? http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/...vywt69/rip.gif

Thank God I can say I ain’t seen it all. http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/...56pullhair.gif

On a serious note, we’ve been using “Cal-ben Five Star Soap” Cal Ben ~ Five Star Soap Products for several years and absolutely love all their products. My mother is allergic to damn near everything and has some funky autoimmune disease to boot and she has fallen in love with the hand soap and laundry detergent. It’s about the only stuff she’s found that doesn’t cause her to break out in a god-awful rash. Maybe you could try using their stuff and see if it helps.

Other than that, you could always try drivin’ nekked.

Use something like All Free N Clear to wash your clothes and throw away those underwear! It's probably contact dermatitis. I get it sometimes (not on my sack...but other places like where I wear socks on my ankles/shins/calves, on my chest if it's on a shirt, etc.) if I use mainstream/main label detergents. They contain dyes, perfumes and other harsh ingredients. The clothing item doesn't rinse 100% of all of the detergent. Then it comes in contact with your skin. I believe an ingredient called SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate) or another similar ingredient commonly used in detergent causes the rash for me. It is found in some hand soaps, too. If it doesn't rinses 100% it causes a dermatitis rash. It depends on the location because skin is different but about 18-36 hours after contact with the ingredient in the hand soap, little pinhead-sized blisters will appear on my fingers. On my chest, it is more like reddish spots/patches (no blisters). On my legs, it is small reddish bumps/patches. Nonetheless, it still itches horribly. However, the problem can still persist even if you use something like All Free N Clear but to a lesser extent (if someone else uses those harsh detergents in the washer/dryer you use and it doesn't rinse 100% from the machine/dryer and you throw your clothes in there...like if you have an old beat up washer). I've dealt with that for the last several years. I think laundry detergent manufacturers changed something because I never had a problem with dermatitis for decades...then all of the sudden I did.

I usually use a second rinse cycle for my laundry now, too.

About thirty years ago, I developed a crusty orange rash all over my genitalia. It appeared quite suddenly, with no signs of onset. I woke up one morning, and there it was.

I went to see my doctor about it. He thought that it was some type of allergic reaction to something. He asked my about what I'd been doing, and what foods I had eaten within the past 24hrs.

I told him that on he night I developed the rash, I'd been to the "Nasty Nellie's XXX Video Store". Then on my way home, I stopped off at the grocery store and I bought a six pack of beer, and a big bag of Cheetos. :p :p

golfhobo 01-16-2012 10:36 PM

So... I guess you're allergic to Cheetos then? :)
