even without the posted height. that just looks like it is too low to try to go thru. I used to haul plastic pipe. I was always very aware of anything I was going to go under.

I saw one today, sign a mile back and a block over says, "No Thru Trucks, All Trucks MUST Turn Left Here." That direction is the truck route for a reason, the bridge is higher on that street. The train bridge on the other stree is lower by a foot, it has a clearance of 13'-6". This fool came on down to the short side, non truck approved route, how he made the first turn to get to us without hitting a car is beyond me, and came to a full stop and pondered for a minute if he could fit. He went for it, just missing the concrete with the roof by an inch then got to the other side where he stopped and stared at his mirrors. The workers scattered when they saw him trying it, you drop down a hill to go under the bridge then as you get under it, you start back up the hill. Friggin retard, wish he had hit it, I'd have bene the first one over there to sock him in the mouth for being a total idiot.

It was a blue Big Orange Pumpkin truck.

Closest I have ever came was "tipping" my stack on a 12' bridge in Chicago. I just dumped my bags from then on as I went under it. It was the only way in and out of the chemical plant....... this guy was just plain stupid.

And never trust the posted sign if it is close, they will re surface the road but forget to change the sign. I had a load at 14-9 luckely my pole car had set her pole 6 inches higher. When she hit we stopped and measured the bridge, it was three inches lower than posted. By lowering my bags and trailer so it just scraped the road we got under. I was on route by my permit so the permit offices are not up to date either.

Ha, well, had he followed the directions the QC gave him he would have never been so close. Too bad a cop didn't see him, those city cops are nasty about that stuff, they get woodie's when they see a semi messing up in their city.
