Need a Ride

I am a new driver, almost 6 months driving. I have gotten off to a bad start and really need someone who would be willing to give me a chance.
I am willing to start out as a trainee, ride along with someone as part of a team, whatever it takes.
My lack of experience along with 3 incidents are killing me. I will gladly explain the 3 incidents to anyone who thinks they could help.
If there is anyone who knows of a company that will give me a chance, an owner operator or someone willing to take on a new driver, even for a couple of months as part of a team, please let me know.

Hopeful.

That he screwed up and had 3 "incidents" in 6 months? Sure, I could buy that - sounds like KEVIN.

OTOH - don't think there's much anyone HERE could do for him...

Rick

Runaround, i think you should look again at this statement......looks to me like someone already HAS given you a chance.

Well, hey, it must be nice to be perfect. You know nothing about what happened with me, what I went through with the for crap company I was with, the for crap trainer I was with. My incidents were pretty minor, one should and very well could, have gone unreported, but I was trying to follow the rules and do the right thing.
But, hey, the road is certainly safer because all you perfect people are out there....

well, you are looking for someone to help you out. By your own admittance you had 3 incidents in a short time. You are not willing to explain what they are, but everyone is supposed to take on good faith that they were no big deal.

These things happened because of something you did not do right, stationary objects don't jump out at you. Don't get defensive, but 3 in just a few months time show that you don't seem to pay enough attention.

None of us are perfect. I have had a couple things happen since I started to drive. But, when something does happen, I take it to heart. I mean really take it to heart. I worry myself sick for the next few weeks, and I can guaranty that it will never happen again, because when in the same situation I will make double sure I am safe to proceed.

Can you honestly say that you were let go because of the crap company, or the crap trainer? You are left in charge of the vehicle, no one else. If you don't think you have the tools to do the job, you should have tried for a different trainer, more training, or maybe, this is just not for you.

What did happen? You don't have to share it of course, but you want help and then show attitude when people question your ability to drive.

Look at this from a potential employers point of view. Would you even talk to someone with 3 incidents? I don't know. I guess I would listen to someone in person, who came in clean, respectful and with the right attitude.

Good luck.
