are recruiters work from home now
 

has anyone heard of companies having recruiters work form home I've been looking for new otr job since finishing cdl school (thanks swift :pissedoff:) and a couple of recruiters called back sound like they were home one sounded like she was in the bed or just woke up.....:confused:

There are a lot of people out there that are free lance independent recruiters that will work from a home office and recruit for several different companies at once instead of being employed by one particular carrier. It's pretty much the same story though, they are still getting paid for putting butt's in orientation seats so keep your gaurd up,your ears open and your bull crap meter turned on at all times with these guys and girls just like you would with the normal company recruiters.

oh yeah I know if they tell me it's raining i better make sure its not just them spitting on me!!!!! just haven't heard of a lot of companines doing this, 10-4 :thumbsup::thumbsup:

There is little need for a recruiter to have a regular office. Most of the contact they have with potential recruits is either by phone or internet. It saves the company money by not needing to provide office space and benefits. It works for the recruiter since they can be home with their family.

Sounds like a pretty decent gig, i wonder how you go about getting into doing this.

i would like to do that to,, wake up in my boxers plop down on the couch until some unsuspecting newbie calls for me to strecth truth to,, like all the money they can make even running as few as 1500 miles a week, and how they will be the envy of their peers. i think i could do that, sign me up........:lol2::clap::lol2::lol:

no, in all seriousness.. I'd like to get into this from the cab of my company truck via web and phone... I'd recruit for every trucking company EXCEPT the one I was driving for! How much does it pay per BUTT? how do you get signed up to do this.. do you have to 'hand' deliver the BUTT to Orientation?

Some of the carriers pay their in-house recruiters a salary. Independent recruiters are usually paid commission. I remember talking with a recruiter that I met several months ago at an ATA luncheon. I don't recall what he said that he was paid, but it was a flat fee per recruit.
