Seals - 1, Pirates - 0. USN SEALS freed the master of the ship and killed three pirates. NBC News said the fourth pirate is in custody and will be returned to the US for trial. Don't know why the pirate will be brought to the States, the USS Bainbridge CO should be able to handle the pirate the same way Commodore Bainbridge, the ship's namesake, handled Barbary pirates (remember, that "shores of Tripoli" thing). Open a gap in the ship's lifelines, secure a shot of chain to the miscreant's ankle, and invite the pirate to step off the ship. End of story, end of pirate. This is NOT the first time the US has dealt with Muslim pirates. Would that Pres Obama would grow a set like Pres Jefferson did 205 years ago.

I am glad that they caught or killed those pirates. Force seems to be the only thing some of them seem to know. I am surprised that Obama would have allowed our military to go after the Muslims. He seems to have a soft spot for them.

Wow even when the President does something you all wanted you still find a way to bitch about it.........

All Obama did was FINALLY give permission to the guys that HAD to wait for it even though they already knew exactly what to do and could have dealt with this problem from the get go...

He gave the order on Fri. It's not his fault that it took them so long to carry it out.

The only problem I see with this is they left one alive, now what, are the U.S taxpayer expected to pay for this piece of s***'s trial and so on ?

Umm, you can't sniper them blindly Dave. They were on edge after the failed escape attempt and had the cover over them so nobody could see in, can't shoot what you can't see. Just like hunting, all we could do was sit and wait, have patience for the shot we wanted. It came today, they tossed back the cover and showed they were about to execute Phillips and that's when the snipers got their shots they had been waiting for. Obama had gave permission to use any and all force only if Phillips life was in imminent danger after seeing the mess the French made in trying to raid a sailboat that had been hijacked.

Them ships need some kind of guns on them. To stop this kind of BS before it starts.
