Honestly, truck driving with a baby is not an easy job, especially when you have to deal with many financial and work-related issues. I have experienced this with my 7 months son for a week. Yes, my husband wasn't in the city and my family was also not here. I was about to take an off from the duty that week, but due to workload and some financial issues, I decided to proceed. I searched for several articles and read guidelines to keep an infant with me in a safer manner. I used this Kally baby nest https://www.kallysleep.com/shop/acce...lly-baby-nest/ to carry him while going outside because I noticed it is hazardous to lock your infant in the truck when you go out. In the trucker, I was also using an infant-only car seat on the backseat with a 45-degree angle and ensure that his head is secure.

Also, I placed his toys, diaper bag, clothes, medical and feeding items in truck to take better care of him. However, if you are working with a trucker company, then you would have to see what they comply or not about carrying an infant with you. You can see some safety tips from here https://www.parents.com/parenting/be...riving-safety/ if you are a new mom and it is urgent to carry a baby with you while trucking. Withal, if it is your own vehicle and you have all necessary insurances and seat him in the safe and right manner, then I don't think you would face any legal and safety issue. In short, it was a tough job, but I enjoyed trucking with my son. :)

Thank you so much for answering the question without bashing the OP. These truck drivers are depressing and act as tho bringing your kid is the worst thing you can do. I loved! And I mean loved riding with my dad when I was 8. I got to spend time riding in this huge truck and seeing all new things and places. Just me and my dad! Never once did I hate it. I’ve taken my son and wife with me across this country and they loved every moment. I was able to work and have my family with me! I didnt have to worry about them not being safe at home or missing them. She stayed up with me on long night rides. She appreciated me more than ever to see what I do when I’m away and how straining it can be. But yea We were Sight seeing and at many rest stop that were tourist stops. We got hotels at least 2 nights out the week to get out the truck a bit. Never hurt my pockets. I pretty much had a rolling stay-cation with them and they talk about it all the time asking when will we go back out with you. So it can be a wonderful experience! Those bashing him are more than likely lonely divorced drivers. You know the ones that spent all there money on a Peterbilt feeling like they own the road.

That being said umm there were things we had to figure out like bathrooms because she absolutely would not use dirty bathroom or allow my son either. So let’s just say what happens on the truck stays on the truck lol

Is it a good idea? NO. But if there’re no other options and you are left with nothing, then hit the road together. But it has always been said that the road is not for children. But if he starts growing till when he can go to school or even a daycare, then you have to find a better solution. Maybe a relative can help or a babysitter. I’d also recommend you try packing with a high end stroller too. To help get some fresh air with the baby mid-trip. I believe it will help a lot. I don’t need to emphasize how stressful trucking can be.

So apparently you have to be nice to foolish people

1. 99.9999% of companies and insurance companies are going to say hell no.
2. Shippers and recievers are going to say hell no and maybe call dss
3. Im 99% sure this is straight up illegal
4. It is incredibly dangerous and unhealthy for the baby. Teuclong is one of the most dangerpus jobs on the planet
5. Youre gping to work/drive 12 hours and take care of an infant while you do it?
6. 24 hrs a day in a vibrating truck sniffing diesel fumes slamming into potholes sounds healthy fpr a baby?
7. You want a baby to spend Literally their entire waking life staring at the ceiling from a baby seat?
8. When you get pulled and a trooper/dot sees that baby how fast do you think dss will be there when They call

Talk about narcissistoc. Rule one of having a baby is the baby becomes priority one in your life. Full stop
