we have the verizon gps on our phones, even though it is for cars, it will getyou the quickest way at least which hiways to take. if your only using the map it can be confusing the best interstates to take for maybe the east coast where theyre all bunched up or whatever. my opinion theyre almost a must but not the only tool by far

I've tried co-pilot 11, and TomTom. Both have gotten confused in several places - especially where there is road construction or a new road has opened up. We use the GPS as a tool, we still write the route down before we drive.

I like the fact that with tomtom you can touch the screen and do things, with copilot unless you have a touch screen laptop you have to use the mouse. The tomtom has had fewer problems hooking up with the sats than the copilot. In fact i've had increasing problems with the pc even finding the antenae.

7" touchscreen hooked to the laptop. The laptop rides in the sleeper, the 7" monitor is attached to my sunvisor. Best addition I made to the computer.

try msn live maps

i've become hooked on the bird's eye view, and the satellite images are more up to date than google.
