co pilot or delorme

this is jimbo does or has anyone on this site used the copilot trucking software.i have delorme 2008 im looking to upgrade and i was thinking about copilot becouse of the truck routing and low clearances i was wondering how accurate the hardware is.i was thinking about getting delorme again even though it doesnt have truck routing it always been pretty dependable .thanks

I say keep delorme and buy a motor carrier atlas to supplement restricted routes.
much cheaper imo

I just picked up Delorme today. seems great and have heard good things. I let it do the auto route and then use the "via" option to route myself to the stop according to the route they send over the qualcom. I like it and it is nice to have someone talking to me when i drive...

we've been using delorme for 4 years now and love it BUT not real happy with the 2009 plus, went beck to using 2008 plus we just don't like some of the changes they did.

company has copilot 9 installed in the truck and we never use it just don't like the way it is set up (company programed) i hear that they (copolit) have alot of bugs in the new copilot 11.

we also have ms s & t 2007 installed on the laptop but we both like delorme better

Personally I use Alk pc miler 20. And I love it.

i use streets and trips 07, good ol atlas, and a phone call to shipper and reciever when in doubt. :)

I have the Co-Pilot Alk program.

Usually end up using www.truckmiles.com for the city to city real life

truck routing.(Practical Miles)

...and then streets and trips for the In City details such as particular

turns and roads.

That's some info on CoPilot 11. I'm definitely not happy with it. I've only been able to use it for maybe 2 hours since I received it in February. According to the email from their tech support, the update patch has been put on an indefinite hold.

Best bet - find CoPilot 9.

If I wanted somebody to hold my hand while I'm driving, I'd either stay with my trainer or take my wife along.

GPS is great - except when it isn't.

I use the good old atlas and Streets and Trips. Most of our customers are already in our Quallcom system so all we have to do send in a 13 macro and get directions that way.
