Can someone with a job get some sort of school loan to go to CDL school?

Yup, the same way people get loans to go to college. But why pay the interest rate a trade school financer gets/wants. Bird dog and get your own loan. BOL

Having a job does definetly help to get a loan.

It depends a great deal on your credit score.

You might want to check with the school that you want to go to and see what kind of financing options they have. Com Coll sometimes have access to state funds. There is also WIA as a possibility for financing the training - do a search on WIA.

I have finacing through the school. There is only one bank in N. America that does it. Wish I had cash cause Im getting raked over the coals. Double payments should help though. :?

Why don't you just save your money for school and save the interest? That way you would be starting with a clean slate and no debt. If you have a low credit score you probably have a lot of debt. Adding another bill could put a lot of pressure on you.
