Ryder Physical
Anyone ever go through a physical for Ryder?
Just wondering if it's just a normal DOT physical or a super physical such as lifting cattle above your head, and dragging sunken cars out of lakes. I've just havent been taking my BP meds   for a few days and got called today to take physical tomorrow and I'm a little nervous. Also, I hear "nobody fails a ryder roadtest". Can anybody confirm this myth? |

Dude, It is your own fault if you haven't been taking your scripts for hbp. Now, can you lift said tank off of jeep or not? If not then There no hope for you.

I know it's my fault damn you!
Now, can I choose to pick the tank up from the right side of the pic and roll it off the jeep to the left? After further review of the pic, I'll take that option. |
Jim,
I didn't mean to be so harsh. It came out wrong. It is just that when it comes to that stuff you are a grown up and know what you need to do. If the hbp does rear its ugly head just admit you didn't take the pills. They might give you some time to get it down then give you another physical. If getting that job means that much to you then you have to do what you need to to get it. GOOD LUCK |
Jumbo, no offense taken. I was jackin around myself.
Thanks for the luck...Hopefully I dont need it. One good thing, I havent been drinking no soda (or eating any bread/pizza/pasta etc.) for a month, so that should help. Curious to see just what that alone does. |
Jim ... I have hbp too ... each time the DOT doctors have to take it twice ... make sure they use your left arm to take your pressure - take your med's 1hr before you arrive for the test - - - stay away from all caffine - - that includes choc ... only decaf coffee/tea .... etc. If the doctor takes the bp and says to you - I'm going to let you set here in the room for a bit to try and relax so the numbers go down .... hopefully they'll leave you in a room with a bed .... lay down on it on your 'left' side ... my daughter is a nurse and said the numbers will go down a bit if you lay on your left side ... ... it does help. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. ...

4Roses...I am sorry but need to disagree with your daughter (please no offense) on the arm to take BP on. If you want a lower BP reading you need to take it on the right arm. The right arm is futher from the heart so the BP and pulse pressures are slightly lower. Left arm is closer to heart so a stronger beat is registered on BP.
Actually taking the meds 3-4 hours or so before the test is better as the meds have had some time to get into your system and stablilze your BP. |
I passed. Road test & all.

So do you not care so much for NEMF, then, I take it?
