C.R. England in Bussiness 87 yrs ? Remember When !
I'll have to agree those were the Good Ol' day's running from Salinas, or Oxnard ,Ca practicly NoN-Stop to Hunt's Point NY & Ol' Tanksley running his Pete Cabovers up to around Approx sometime around 86 or so when a new management group tried to save Sam Tanksley's. I guess U can still see some of the terminal in Cape G. several of the managers opened smaller carriers down the road. such as Delta for one.It is said that Sam's son ran a Refer Co' Ohio Pacific. It is said that Charle Harris owned half or so of Sam Tanksley's & the Cape Pete dealership & when he died there was no successor in his family. And I don't doubt that the England family could have been in the Transportation bussiness since 21' to some degree or another the old Mormon Familys have been cultivating in Norther Utah & in Idaho since the 1800's in the Ag & Dairy when they migrated to that area of the country
