New Truck driver "HELP" ---Bulk or Dedicated --?
hello guys i need your help
I'm going to go with Schneider my question is which devision to go with and have the most home time. Do you guys like tanker better ? 1.Bulk Truck Driving or 2.Dedicated Truck Driving PS I signed up for roehl for 7 on 7 off but i had transportation issues to the training |
Nothing personal, but I don't think a new driver is ready for a tanker(assuming it is liquid and not dry bulk). I would recommend getting some experience before trying a tanker.

When you are new you need to be more concerned about learning and earning money than getting home. That is why so many carriers will keep new drivers out for several weeks starting out. This is a job which requires drivers to stay out on the road. With most carriers, once you gain some experience you should get home about every two weeks. There are a few who will get you home more often. As to which Schneider division can get you home more often, it would be best to ask Schneider directly or those who are already employed with them. I believe that Schneider has their own website for drivers. I think it is called pumpkin or something similar.

I say go for the tanker job. Driving tanker aint no big deal. Or atlest i dont think so. If it was i think the state would give you a skills test. I learned on a tanker when i got my cdl. 4200GAL water truck for a paving company. and then moved my way up to 6100gal trailers.
