Thanks! that answered alot of questions.
One question I now have is, towards the end, they showed that you can just double clutch (like normal) up from 1-3-5-7-9, without using that button and all.. Now if you were to do this, on 65mph interstate for example, would your trucks rpm be high, as in wanting you to shift into 10th still or will it ride down the interstate at 65-70mph in 9th gear just fine? If you do need to get it into 10th, can you just hit the button backwards and make it shift into 10th? I hope this came across clear... :D  |

Yes, thats all there is to it. |
Awesome thanks!
I'll watch it a few more times, but think I almost got it down. this is near worthy to be made a sticky post. |
I love a super ten, sweet tranny. Shifts between 9th/10th automatically up or down. Great for sipping coffee!

I found that if you quickly pop it out of gear and back in when shifting the split, that it forces the RPM's to drop faster, thereby catching the gear properly.
I will note that I got my best fuel mileage out of a Super 10 transmission. I was pulling hopper bottoms, and was always at 80,000 lbs. My average MPG was almost 7, whereas with a 13 speed I was averaging around 6.25. |
You have to wait for the tranny to shift, if you are on the throttle a millisecond to soon...you get a neutral.
Good luck. |
I've never driven a Super 10 but I came close at Pepsi with an old Ford F700 with a 5 speed + 2 speed rear end, which is similar in operating principle to the Super 10.
