80/20 ..90/10..competency/commmitment level?

In all professions if truth is told there is a ratio of competency vs incompetency. In the computer biz it is 20% know what they are doing and 80% are fakers. In Real Estae it is 90/10. I have been there so don't ask please.
What percentage of OTRs take it seriously and what part does not.
As a qualifier - if you are not OTR your are not a trucker, you are a deliveryman. Correct me if I am misspoken.

Not meant to offend. Asking to learn here.

You are very mistaken. A truck is a truck, and it takes the same basic skills to drive it across town as it does to drive it across the country.

Actually, it takes a lot more work to guide a truck through the towns/cities to make the pickups/deliveries than it does to cruise down the interstate on a 4 lane highway. That's one reason I don't like to do local work. Being in the middle of West Virginia, after you get off of the interstate the roads *really* suck.

I stand corrected. My apologies. :)

I deliver to fast food restaurants. You should see some of the parking lots i get to navigate my truck and 48' trailer through. At lunch time no less. I may only drive 1300 miles a week, but they are some tricky miles.

Thank God I am a delivery driver. And a union one at that.

You know the truth is I hate being referred to as a "trucker".

When someone calls me a trucker I always get a glance from my wife trying to figure out if I am going to go off on them.

That last one had to be a good time Joe.

No idea. It is funny the way it is bent because that is a one way street and traffic only goes the way I was facing.

Here is what was in the drive.

I highly doubt he hit it.

Oh well, who knows, it's Center City Philadelphia all kinds of things happen down there.
