Question about getting into car hauling?

Can anyone recommend some good companies that will accept someone without car hauling experience? I've got about 4 years over the road with a clean MVR and DAC. I'd like to transition into auto transport. Ideally with a company in the TX area. Any helpt is greatly appreciated!

Your best bet for rolling parking lot's would be around Houston. Waggoners is the biggest, that trains newbies. http://www.waggonerstrucking.com/

We worked for Waggoners for almost 3 years- learned a lot about car haul! They have hubs (or did) in Greer, SC, Houston, Oxnard, CA, OKC and Billings, MT.

Swift was doing car haul for a while there but I think they sold their trucks and got out of it. I wouldn't suggest doing anything with Swift, though.

Allied Systems used to train. They are union. You may also check with Jack Cooper and Casson's. I don't know if they train but I believe they are both union. DAS is just outside of Dallas. I assume that you live in Texas. If you live near some of the large auto auctions, you may want to check with them to see if anyone will train you. There are large auctions in Dallas and Houston.

You picked a tough time to get into car hauling, Im selling cars right now and talk to the haulers every chance I get, and they all say theyre laying people off right now.
