Heart conditions?

I had a mild heart attack 2 months ago and was wondering how long a person has too wait before they can drive OTR.

There was no damage done to my heart muscle but had to have 3 stents put in the arteries.

Thanks,

If you are back to normal, you should be able to get a one year DOT card.

That is between you, your cardiologist and the doctor who does your DOT physical.

It is very likely the examing doctor who does your DOT physical may want to see the results of a recent stress test as well as a release from the cardiologist before granting medical clearance to drive.

Had what they term a "mild heart condition" myself a year and a half ago.
Once I showed them my dr release form, I was back in the truck that day.
