I am looking for some advice on parking during Home time???
I live In Riverside,OH just outside of Dayton. Are there any Truckers out there living In my area that could tell me a good place to park during Home time???
Riverside has outlawed all Truck parking In the city limits so If anyone could give me some advice It would help out alot...

I don't have any help for you other than to ask company you work for. I just wanted to say hey there since I'm also a newb from the Dayton area, in fact I just moved out of Riverside and out to New Carlisle. I'll be driving for Schneider and they have drop lots all over and thier OC in columbus, I've also heard that you can drop at local truck stops if you ask, but I'm not sure how safe this would be.

Your really not in a good area to park a truck. I can't think of any truckstops near you, even small ones.

One other thing you may do is find a local trucking company with a decent sized lot and simply ask if they would consider letting you park there for hometime. I know at our company there are a couple of TMC trucks parked there for weekend hometime. I'm guessing we won't be turning into a truckstop anytime soon and they may be paying a small fee for parking, but for some reason they have been allowed. All you can do is ask.

Who do you drive for?

Look into storage facility. Oh is it tractor only? we park in storage facility just like RV parking, Look for something with 24 hour access and good loaction to you, We pay 50.00 a month but in Seattle thats a steal and is much safer that some truck stop. My husband has to park every week so it is worth it for us. Just an idea. Google storage facilities for your area. Good luck

Most small truck garage shops offer parking for a fee from what I've seen. I think your looking at $35 per month for just a tractor and another $35 for a trailer.

I've never been run out of a Meijer... but I wouldn't suggest parking there for a long stint at home, either.

We are lucky- we can park on the street in front of our house. If there's too much snow for that, we know a couple repair shops that let us park there.

If you spend money there, and if they have room for your trailer, you can probably get permission to park.

Keep in mind that if you live up north where it gets cold in the winter, your company will most likely require you to park where there's an electrical outlet availble so you can plug the truck in while you're at home.

If you come off TAH and she won't crank, YOU will be liable for getting her started = $$$$$$$$.
