If frieght is so slow right now why are companies still hiring??

With a turnover of 125% they have to.

WOW!!! 125% turnover. No wonder driving schools are popping up all over the place

Sad but true.

They continue to hire to keep capacity to a level where they can take care of the extra business when things pick up. With the high turn over rate, they need to keep recruiting.

so does that mean more sitting and waiting for loads when it is slow?

They keep hiring more drivers to suppress drivers wages. Supply and demand. My boss is cutting our wages because he has many drivers applications on his desk.

That's sad!! don't these companies realize you get what you pay for!!!

oh yes, as long the government keeps subsiding schools and training, companys will continue to screw there employees out of pay, as they know another driver is coming out of school to replace the departing driver.

Thats why it's very important to keep your record CLEAN!!! You have a clean record and experience, you can go drive for anyone. Thats the only shortage, clean record drivers.
