I'm rarely lucky...but I was today!!

Hey guys. I live in Huntsville, Alabama. One of the guys on there told me about a trucking school around these parts that was having a big recruiting/job event today. They also gave away some prizes. The grand prize was a free give away to their school. It's 3 weeks and normally $2400. They called me today and told me I had one it after they drew my name out of a hat!! I damn near jumped for joy in the cab of my pick up truck....hhaaa!!!

Quite a few companies require a 160 hour course, so make sure you have an idea before you spend three weeks in school only to find out it's inadequate for whatever job you might want.

Some of these 'contests' are also thinly-veiled efforts by companies to sponsor a student's training and then force the student to work for them a year or longer to avoid owing the sponsor company any money, so I would also ask about that.

As long as you're not running into either of those issues congrats! It's a fun learning experience.

LOL...when they called your name I started looking around for you and your wife and realized you were gone but remembered you had called me earlier in the morning and you number was still on my phone...

It tickled me and Sue (the PGT recruiter...cute ain't she?) to death you had won.

It was nice meeting you and your wife and good luck to you!

It's legit.

Companies represented Saturday were; PGT, TMC, McKelroy, Swift, TransAm, Werner, H. O. Wolding, Falcon...

And I personally know the owner of the school.

If he screwed somebody I invited, HE knows that I know....where he lives.
