Really? Name some that will not trigger an instant and huge butt chewing/firing by the carrier.

Going over your HOS at Werner results in the following actions either a warning or suspenion for a given number of hours . This is based on how much you went over your hours and how many times. The truck does not shut down or slow down the log department simply ropes the driver into safety at a terminal to be slapped on the wrist with a suspenion ranging from 8 hrs- to a week out of service they usually make your suspenion part of required break time ,so the short ones don't hurt you but the 72 hrs and up suck ...If the driver calls logs the driver need not ever be roped into a terminal the log auditor will simply say find a place to shut down and don't move the truck for as given amount of time .

The qual-copm can simply be un-plugged which disables the dome so no signals can be transmitted or received and truck can not be tracked/monitored ...the governer can be set through the qual-com as it is tied into the trucks ECM this is how they track over speed /over rpm/over idle...and with electronic logs this where the qual-com picks up your odometer readings for your log milage...with the qual com still hooked up to the dome one can simply un-hook the qual-com ECM connection in about 10 seconds ( if a 3 piece set up) ...this will allow use of qual-com while truck is rolling no tracking of speed /rpm/or idle time, But will result in a message saying no odometer reading please get truck schedueled for repair ....there is also a way to un govern your truck with a jumper wire and the qual com wich sets the ECM back to factory default removing the speed restriction of what ever it was set at...

The un-hooking of the dome is great if you know how the system detects going over your hours if you don't you will get caught when the system electroniaclly audits your logs ,but if you know the system you can do some very interesting stuff without ever getting popped .

But do none of this stuff ...IT COULD GET YOU FIRED...esoecially if your not especially bright and can't cover tracks well.
