what would you do?

i have been doing my research online to see which company is the best to work for.

first let me give you detail of how far i have going.

1. i talked with CR england and have been pre-hired waiting on them to send me a bus ticket to school in Dallas. school starts on Monday the 18th. CR england have a program you go OTR with a trainer for 3 week first then another 3 week for lease purchase or some thing like that.

2. want to go to school at ASU Newport Arkansan fees very reasonable CFI have tuition assistance program and i will pay the rest of the fee which i don't mind that way will not have to sign contract. CFI have a program they called finisher program where you go out with a trainer for just 4 week.

what other company will you guys advice if i can afford school my self?

what will old school truckers advice on this issues.

do a search on cr england and i think you will have to ask no more questions. Dont walk away from them.....Run away.

Why are you limiting yourself to these 2 companies? Haves you looked into

Schneider
Millis
Roehl
Crete
Maverick (flatbed)
TMC (flatbed)
???

Those are some of the better companies to start out with.

With a statement like this you've got a long road ahead of you, you need to get your facts straight with companies before you even take the next step, your "something like that" approach to companies will get you in a ton of trouble, you'll end up at orientation asking questions and finding out that all the "something like thats" are going to screw you royally.

I don't know much about CR England but since you are already in pre-hire state maybe you should go with them. You have some time left though and more research with other companies will never hurt. If you go to school on your own at ASU, I recommend USXpress, Roehl, or Swift. I personally do not recommend flatbeds or tankers for new drivers and I have reasons why I can't stress this enough.

USXpress doesn't have the school now. They'll take new drivers and train them, but they must have their CDL beforehand.

I have heard only the worst from drivers about CR England.

Please try someone else.

You should http://home.comcast.net/~documentarian/run.png away from CR England. Everything I've heard for the past 10 years confirms this. Everything.

I almost started with CR England too, and I'm glad somebody told me to bail while I still could.

USXpress doesn't have their school anymore, but they do take new drivers for finishing training. I never went through their training, so can't offer any guidance there.

If you are able to, I would try and go to school before going to any company. If you sell your sole to a company to get training, you are stuck. And just starting out, don't even think about a lease purchase! Give it some time first.
