The disturbing thing is that he did this before - same disgusting crap. At that time, we were not certain of who it was and all in all, we are pretty laid back as moderators. So when he came back under this last log-in name, we let it slide as we usually do.

Our philosophy is that if someone gets out of hand enough that it warrants a ban (and that usually takes a some work on their part), we ban the user ID. If it's really bad, we'll ban the IP...at least the one that got them the ban. A lot of times, these people create a new login ID and come back and are generally well-behaved. You would be surprised at how many formerly banned posters are back under a new name. We know about them and it's not a big deal. Come back and start a new life and be a halfway decent netizen and all is forgotten.

However, in this case, since he's now done this twice and we know about it, there will be no second chances. What he posted on this site was borderline criminal and we'll get the required documentation together, along with IP's and ship it off to Crete. If they are able to discern his identity and I have little doubt they will have much trouble with that, he will likely be looking for another job. Maybe it'll be enough of a rude awakening to shake him up and understand that he accomplished nothing with his juvenile garbage, but possibly land him in a heap of trouble with his company.

In the end, I just don't get it. Why people have to stoop to being such trash is beyond me. Messageboards have rules. Toe the line or lose your privileges. Come back anew and try again. This is not a difficult concept. Yet when you do things like this guy did, you run the chance of it coming back to bite you in the rear.
