trip planning test

Just wondering if someone could show me an real world example of a dispatch in terms of mileage , location and time of departure/arrival dates.

Need it for an experiment i'am conducting with Streets and Trips. I want to see how accurate my trip planning skills are with. I'am about to start with a major carrier and i wanted to get a real world start on things in terms of trip planning.

I’m really not trying to be smart, but really, just open your map. Point A is where you start from, and point B is where you will end up. It’s not hard. Start out with the US map page in the front of your map, then use the individual state pages when needed. I don’t know how I ever made it across the country without a computer or any mapping programs all these years, 30 to be exact….lol Don’t make it any harder than it is!!!
I used to take my kids 1 at a time in the summers, and they would always want to tell me how we should go to where ever we went, and 9 out of 10 times they were right on the mark. They did this at the age of around 5, yes they could read a map!!!!...lol and so should YOU!!!

PS: dont forget your math, that will answer some of your questions!

Math hasn't been taught since the dark ages, so you must be old. :)

(I'm in the middle. I learned how to plan a trip by hand, but I prefer to use a computer, because I'm a lazy bastard. My computer planned trips are usually pretty accurate after I manually tweak the route the way I want it.)

Also easier to keep the atlas on the dash when you need to take a quick look to make sure your going in the right direction than to get your laptop out. I will use both though, I see what the computer says and then plan it out in the atlas. But most of the time the directions and what roads to take are right on my pay card so if I know the roads I just go and leave the atlas and computer packed in the suitcase.
