help info needed
hi Guys, my name is Isaac, am interested in becoming a truck driver, with all the job cut going around, but my problem is that i had my license suspended last year which have been reinstated, will any one hire me with this on my MVR.
the license was suspended for financial responsibility reason (no insurance). Please any information will be of big help. also if any one have information on companies that will sponsor my CDL training. but if not i have found a school that is cheap and i can afford to pay but you know any dollar saved can be used to pay bills while going through the training program. Please every advice is highly appreciated. because am like in a dead end now with my job. Thanks a million |
I can not speak for the license part but on the school, you are better off paying for it yourself and going to work for a company. You will have more choices. If a company pays the bill then you will be stuck with them for a year or more.

Your best bet is to call companies that hire inexperienced drivers in your area and ask them.
You can use the job search function here on CAD to find companies to call. The list may not be all inclusive for your area, but it will give you a start. |
You may want to address this to some of the recruiters who are on this forum. My guess is that it may not make a huge difference if it was for financial responsibility. It depends on what else is on your mvr.

A suspension for financial responsibility isn't going to be a huge detriment, unless you are slapped with an SR-22 suspension, meaning you have to show proof of insurance or an immediate suspension of driving privileges. A lot of companies will shy away from that.

you can go through a paid training course from swift or others and front the bill yourself so you have no contract. once your done you go where you want
