How easy is it to find parking with an oversize load when shutting down for a 10 hour break or during curfew hours?

Plan your trip well, if you need escorts they should be able to help you with places etc. You have scales, but T/S's will be your best bet, just get in early..

Before starting your day you should have a good idea of where you will need to stop. An oversize load which is only over on the side a little isn't nearly as difficult to deal with as something that hangs over a foot or so on each side. Truck stops can fill up parking spaces quickly during the early evening. It would be best to get to your stop before it gets too late. It can be more of a challenge to find 2 parking spots next to one another with an over sized load. You can always stop at a scale for the night. I prefer a truck stop.

I was thinking of something like a larger type John Deere tractor where the tyres might hang over the sides a few inches.

You,ll have no problems parking that up. Just watch out for other drivers mirrors as you pull out in the morning :D

Only a few inches. You haven't seen some of the tractors we have around here them criters are big.

Yeah but if they are too wide and you would need an escort etc. then you can take the wheels off. I know I,ve done that a few times to save my companies the expense and hassle of escorts and permitted routes/applications for movement orders etc.
Or is it all different over there? I don,t know :oops:
