brain fart
 

howdy everyone
not sure where to post this so I just figured this was a good place to start
my problem is i've been trucker over 10 yrs most of that time i've been driving a dump truck with a pup trailer but 3 yrs ago I was pulling a trash wagon for almost 3 yrs I left because the place closed up so went back too dump trucks but got a job with another trash hauler & the first day out I had a brain fart was all done with my day & headin back to the yard & was turn left & took my eye off for just a sec cause was making sure I wouldn't hop the curb but I cliped the left front end of a 4 wheeler
:( so I guess my question is what are the chances of getting another driving job can I find a company that will give me a refresher course & hire me
not into dump trucks any more either

I would say that if this is the only thing on your record, you should be able to find a carrier who will hire you. If it were me in your situation, I would start calling carriers and talk to them directly. There are several recruiters on this board who could best answer your questions. You could also fill out an application on this website or others. Those are usually sent to a number of carriers. Good luck.

That accident, assuming it is the only thing on your driving record, is only going to cause you problems if you try to hide it.

When talking to companies, be open an honest about it. Like everyone said, if it is your only accident, you shouldn't have any problems. No matter what you do to hide it, the company you are interested in will find out about it.

thats the only accdent i've had since 2000 & that one was some big truck rear ended me
