Averitt vs Stevens

I have been east coastin it this week and I have to say Averitt drivers are on a suicide mission, next to suicide transport (aka Stevens Transport) they win hands down for sure, I have never seen so much danger until now, we are in heavy traffic and Averitt was bumper pushing so bad. They were also speeding at 30 and over the posted limit, we are in the 50 zone and I am just flowin at 65 with the heavy traffic and I see Averitt about 6 inches from a bumper just pushing this car down the road and they flew by me like I was parked, must of been doing 80 or 85, the car moved over and this Averitt truck was up to the next bumper pushin his way down the freeway.. now its not just the one truck I saw it was every Averitt truck I have seen this last 3 days, kinda like what Stevens trucks do except it did not matter what road or city street they were on it was a suicide mission.

Where as Stevens get off the freeway they act like its there first day driving doing 5 miles an hour and holding everyone back, I see this alot.... we are at a traffic light and this Stevens truck pushed every bumper to get in front and when the light turned green he moved real slow, so slow the light was red and he was still turnin, when it turned green I went through and 4 other trucks made it through and not held up side traffic, why Stevens pushes bumpers on the big road they act like sissy girls in the city has got me confused.... watch out for Averitt trucks there dangerous and Stevens Trucks when in the city, they will be in your way and you can't avoid them.

I kind'a doubt that the Averitt truck was going 80-85 mph., since they are governed at 65 and 68 mph. This is not just hearsay this is fact!

65 in a 50 zone no less. Careful you don't break your glass house while throwing stones.

I work for them and what Trikeman was saying they are governed at 65 or 68. Unless the driver was going down a hill they don't go that fast!!

could be, the eastern parts over here are up and down up and down all the time, i am sick of it, so are you a suicide driver too?? like to push bumpers? was that you I saw almost cause a wreck? if not I say you got some screwed up co-workers to look out for.....

If you saw conduct on the part of a driver, that was obviously illegal and dangerous.....why would you not get the unit number or trailer number and call that company's safety department and register a complaint?

I'll do it in a heartbeat. Why? Because I don't want a jerk like that on the road with me, or my family.....or even the general public. Face it, if we are silent to the wrongs....then we are as guilty as the perpetrator.

Dont be too certain, there are west coast division trucks out there governed to go faster that make it to the east coast to finish off a run.

----

Nonetheless, driving that close to a cars bumper is complete stupidity and selfishness.
These drivers drive without consequence in mind...just wait til it gets real for these individules when something goes terribly wrong.

For anyone who reads this and does this, back the hell off before you kill someone..wait for a slot, and if you must, pass them.
