Here's what I did when I started with TMC:
I applied and was accepted. I chose to have TMC pay for my training and went to a school they recommended and that was reasonably priced. If I stay with them for a year (I will) they pay off the school loan, if not, I am responsible for the balance of the loan.
CDL school was almost 3 weeks long and I stayed at a hotel paid for by TMC while going to school.
After completing school I tested out and got my CDL.
Next, I went to orientation at TMC for 1 week. It varies from 1 to 2 weeks depending on the school you go to.
After finishing orientation I went home for a week.
My trainer picked me up and I spent 5 weeks with him getting home a few weekends here and there.
Training completed I went to TMC to pick up my new Peterbilt and was on my own.
