New Guy- First Driving Job- Van Trailers

Hey again guys. I'm thinking that I don't want to start my trucking career with flatbedding. I'm looking into pulling a van trailer. What are some good companies to look into that hire beginners? I'd also like some good home time. I have a side business so Roehl's 7 on 7 off looks good and I hear they have an awesome training program. How many miles do the 7 on 7 off guys get with them? Any other similar programs out there? Thanks.

Anthony

Transport America also has a 7/7 and a 14/7 program. With the 7/7 you are slip seating, sharing 1 truck with one other driver. With the 14/7 you are sharing 2 trucks with 2 other drivers.

Depending upon where you are, I've heard good things about Arnold's regional runs. Most will get you home every weekend or nearly so. Not as much money as flatbed, but the hometime is similar.

You can expect to run 5000-6000 miles per month doing the 7/7 program.
