Anyone know why it blocks me from this forum when I try to get on here from IdleAIr or Flying J wifi?

Because someone logged on before you, and they were a bad person, so they got that IP banned.

What he said. :) We try not to ban Wi-Fi spots when we know about them, but sometimes circumstances dictate an immediate IP ban.

does wifi or idle air rotate through a bunch of ip addresses. could he log off line then log back on to be assigned a different address?

Some do some do not. Idleaire is static. Meaning it does not change. So because one person was banned they effectively blocked all cad users form gaining access while at idleaire. Lord help if they ever ban an AOL user. Since AOL no matter where you live goes though the same proxy. And that would ban everyone on AOL.

Not likely... the wireless router used to broadcast the WI-FI has the IP that is being banned.

Should be banned, & send me the $30 or so dollars a month they still pay for dial up.

Same thing happens to me on flying j's wifi, it says I'm banned.

Twilight Flyer 02-12-2007 10:03 AM

If you run into a banned IP and can somehow get the IP address, shoot me a PM with the IP and I'll see if I can find it in the list to unban it.
