Let's see.

You can work for someone as a company driver and get paid for it

or

You can get set up in a lease purchase deal and pay the company to work for them.

Must be nice to be so independantly wealthy and bored that you can afford to pay companies to put you to work.

Stay away from any Fleece Purchase program; they are monetary vacuum cleaners.

Melton is a top notch flatbed company.

if I read that correctly.......he did not say to lease FROM them, but to buy a truck and lease TO them.......completely different than the flease programs

I wouldnt mind leasing MY OWN TRUCK to Central, they do have alot of freight. But no way would I lease one from them....nope, nada, nichts, never happen.

I have some friends who are a married team driving a leased T2000 from Central and only because both of them drive did they do it.

thanks

ok maybe i should explain myself better. i was going to sign on to central and buy a truck from them and also work for them. basically im trying to just buy a truck, run for them till its payed off. i talked to 2 drivers who are making it work for them at central and 1 driver who said he was throwing in the towel. so basically its a gamble. my main goal is to pretty much work towards buying a truck, then using that truck as collateral to buy another, then another, put my sister thru broker licensing and bid my own jobs. so bottom line is, has anyone actually made it with central? or is it a bad and lost cause to even try to lease purchase with them?

In that case, do a search on here and you will find that most will recommend AGAINST leasing or buying a truck from the same company that is signing your checks......although there may be a few out there that make it, many, many do not. Good luck

How is Central if you're a company driver?
