Yet another DWI question

Sorry guys, I did search, I just didn't find the answer.

I got 2 DWI's back in 91/92, my question is concerning, Company sponsored training, the few companies I have looked at, say "no more than one ever", is this industry standard, do they really check that far back, should I look at going a different route?

No more than one ever is standard for MOST companies, the thought process being if you didn't learn after the first one, you probably didn't learn after the second one. So, you're fighting an uphill battle from the start.

yes they go back that far. But I dont think it will keep you out of the industry, however it will always limit you. We dont allow more than 2 ever and 1 has to be outside 15 years and one 5.

your last ones coming up on 15 years, i`m pretty confident you`ll find somebody to hire you, then once you have experience alot more doors will open.

Thanks for the answers, I actually got my DMV report last year, I need to dig it out and check on the exact dates.

I currently work for The railroad and thought they would keep me from being employed by them, or at very least, keep me from getting my RCO Class 6 engineers lisence, but they didn't..

Railroads not paying well anymore?

Last add I seen in a newspaper for some railroad employye or another had them starting at $19.00/hr, plus one heck of a bennies package.

I maybe incorrect but did you say Engineer as in driving the Train?? I always heard you guys make around 60-100k a year...why would you want to take that cut in pay( if that is the case?) seems as if your gone as much as OTR, Just Curious and like I said maybe I'm missinformed about what your job is....BOL

How close together were they in 91/92? Two that were close together would be a whole lot better than two far apart. It might look as if you hadn't had time to absorb your lesson from the first one when you got the second one if they were close together in a spurt.

They were about 3 or 4 months apart and in answer to my present occupation, I am a newly promoted Conductor, I have a class 6 engineers lisence, which alows to to run a locomotive with a remote control in switching operations and yes, the railroad does pay good, you gotta be happy in what your doing though.
