HELP!!!!
I'M FRUSTRATED I HAVE A LEAD FOOT AND KEEP PRESSING THE GAS EVERY TIME I SHIFT. I DROVE TODAY AND I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH MY PERFORMANCE. SOMEBODY TELL ME I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO EXPERIENCE ANXIETY ABOUT NOT SUCCEEDING ON THE ROAD TEST?
I AM TAKING THE DAY OFF TOMORROW, TO COOL OFF! |
DRKNGHT....try sliding your foot down on the gas peddle, that way your not letting the weight of your foot and leg press it down. Sounds to me you got lazy leg and if you do, then by having your foot square on the peddle, the weight alone of your leg will press it down.....put your heel on the floor and use it as a fulcrum rocking your foot forward as you need more rpms.

So nervous you feel the need to write in ALL capitals?
|
What's in your wallet?
Oh,wait. Wrong Capital. :? :P |
If it helps, your instructor has seen this all before with others; it's a common thing early on. If it was easy, everybody would have a CDL.
Make sure your seat isn't too close and/or too high. You're ankle should be comfortable when you've lifted it off the uh.. gas pedal (I'm more concerned about that error!). |
Gas peddle, fuel peddle, accelerator, the fuel injection actuator........whatever you want to call it..........that thing on the floor towards the right that makes it go faster.
