I was recently arrested for ovi, the charges were dropped to a no point non moving violation. However my license was suspended will this be a problem? Also how do I explain it.

Why was your lic suspended and for how long? We need more info in order to offer advice that is accurate.

OMI is Prolly OMVI = operating motor vehicle intoxicated. Prolly the reason he lost his licence.

If it was recent you are probably out of luck. Most companies will want several years since the conviction/suspension.

If the charges were reduced and there were no points issued then it does not make a lot of sense as to why his lisc was suspended, hence a clarification is really needed.

Besides as old Paul Harvey would say......Now for the rest of the story......

There is always more to the story.

Was he intoxicated when he was arrested?
Did he get a good lawyer to get him off the charges?
Why was his license suspended? Because the do that when you been drinking and driving.

It is kinda like getting a ticket for speeding. You go to court or hire a lawyer to get the ticket reduced so it will not go on your record. The bottom line is, you were still speeding.

In some states, a refusal is considered automatically guilty and the result is for your license to be suspended. Some even have mandatory jail time for refusal to take the test.

I was recently arrested for omvi and my license was suspended immediately. I am still in court right now but my lawyer is confident that the charges will be reduced, so the suspension might come off if it gets reduced. I am not sure. It was suspended for 3 months for failed breath test. If I refused it would be suspended for a year.

So as it stands right now, you are still in court and unsure of what the outcome will be. You might want to wait and see what happens before asking if you'll be able to get hired, it's going to make a difference.

Good Luck

I cant see anyone touching you with a DUI charge pending, get it resolved before you consider driving a commercial vehicle.
