Fuel Surcharge Programs

Short and to the point question. How does this work?? I read about companies offering it, but it is gibberish to me.

Fuel Surcharge

Did you ask on the O/O Forum, more applicable to them. Basically it's a charge the carrier hits up the shipper for the increased cost of fuel above a negotiated baseline charge. BOL

If you're a company driver you're not going to get it because you're not paying for the Fuel.
If you're a O/O I'll move this to O/O section

Stupid me, I guess I should have put this question there.
