Ticket
About 20 years ago I received a ticket for inattentive driving, will this still be on my record in some database somewhere, and is this a ticket that companies are wanting you to tell them about when they say "No convictions for careless (of a higher degree) or reckless driving, alcohol or drugs?"

As many of us have said time and again. You only give the information asked for on the application, and if it was simply a ticket and not a suspension then after 20 years it has more than dropped off your record. So no, there is no need to say anything about it.

I think most applications want any violations with the last 10 years, another quick about inattentive driving, if your ever involved in a accident not your fault and the other driver was eating, talking on a cell phone , putting on make-up, or what ever, you should demand that they receive a "inattentive driving" citation. It will clearly establish "fault" and may save you alot in the long run.

Thanks for the answers. My record is clean but for 2 tickets, one when I was 16 and the other when I was 19. No accdents :D

i dont see how tickets that old would have any bearing for companies now

Methinks your record isn't as squeaky clean as you would lead us to believe!! I have it on very good word that less than a month ago, you were caught red handed trying to sneak through the grocery store express checkout line with 12 items when the sign clearly limited you to ten. This combined with your aberrant behavior twenty years ago, suggest to me that you should forget about a driving career. |
LOL yep you got me I was the one with 12 items. :P

to put your mind ay ease,go down to your local DMV or PD and obtain a MVR report of your record that is what will be on there when a oompany pulls it,just like others said that far back i do not think it will be on there any ways.
good luck |
