A lot of dispatchers only drive to home and to work. Tell your son to invest in a good carriers road atlas to get from city to city. His company needs to provide good directions to/from shippers consignees. This can really cause a driver BIG problems. Such as tickets for being on the wrong road, accidents with cars, damage to property municipal or private, damage to truck trailer, late pickup/delvery, traffic tie ups, I could go on and on and on. The problem is all of these things will be blamed on the driver. Tell him to plan his trips before he moves that truck, then if he has questions he can get clarification before its too late. Blame always rolls down to the driver in most companies. He needs to protect his license by planning ahead.

If you ever get a chance to listen to the Glenn Beck show on talk radio, please do. He is on from coast to coast now and also on CNN. He has a game he plays on radio called 'Moron Trivia' and it VERY surprizing. He asks very common questions to callers and gets the dumbest answers. You will learn quickly, what others have no clue about. Your problem with getting proper directions reminded me of a one good one I heard awhile back. "If your traveling north on a road and you turn left, which direction are you now going?" West of course is the answer. Most had no clue, and the best answer was 'south'. Can you imagine??? I was bent over laughing on that one.
