Start looking elsewhere. If you have at least one year experience and a decent driving record, you should have no trouble finding another job. There's plenty of freight running in and out of Michigan, so plenty of companies run through there.

What is your total driving experience? Meaning, is this your first driving gig?

Sounds like you are a spare driver. If that is the case maybe you can find a couple of spare driver gigs to get more time on the road until you hit the one year mark. Or keep digging for a better situation until you hit the one year mark.

I just drive part-time (weekends), and I am floating between two companies with priority given to Company A as far as availability goes.

It should help as far as work history goes. Especially if I only drive 3 days out of the year for Company B, but I can still list it on my resume...lol.

Sounds like you're with a company (union) that has a casual board. That's what casual means, you drive when they need you. BOL
