Is this true?

Arrow Trucking says they pay new drivers, right out of school .34 cpm, and they say you will drive at least 2500 miles each week. If this is true brand new drivers are making over 44k a year. Could that be right?

flatbed drivers start out higher than van so 34 cents would probably be true. 2500 miles a week most likely will not be true. Mileage always varies no matter what company.

2500 miles per week is a very reasonable goal to obtain thats only about 350 miles per day avg

Sure if you never take any days off.

More realistically you are looking at having to do around 455 miles per day.

Got that number figuring a 34 hour reset every week so you are only working 5 1/2 days.

2500 miles a week is what is considered an industry average. As with all averages you have to take into account that there are some who run a lot more than that and some who run a lot less than that, and you will never know where you will be until it is all over with.

What's a day off? I run 3 wks out, 3 days home. I run an average of 500 miles per day, 9,000 per 3 wks.

Thanks for the info. Its appreciated.

I run at least 4000 miles a week, so the 2500 is because I don,t spend all my time tarping loads and checking the straps every hour... I just load and go, flatbed pays more for all that tarping in the wind and rain, better get some gloves too....
